You can also read down the right hand side to see if there is anything that catches your fancy. Or as you get to the bottom of each page, click on Older Posts, every post on here is an Item for Auction

Remember donations get a 5:1 goblin stamp rate for the cost of item and shipping and another 5:1 for what it sells for!!!!

If you see something you would like to bid on, under each post is the word comment proceeded by a number that indicates all the comments on that particular post. Currently most posts have 0 comments =(. Here is what we would like to do. We do a yearly auction but it is normally only a one day event and many do not want to drive that far for one day of play, so if you would like to bid, you may do so. Anyone that comes to the auction will enjoy the benefit of having the last word/bid. If you would like to give me a high bid for you you may send a msg to davidrlrussell@gmail.com and I will bid for you. Feel free to leave instructions on what increment you wish to bid by. If you win the item, we will ship it so you, but you will have to pay the postage. I will notify you of the win and you may send us a check or paypal us

Happy bidding and if you have any questions, feel free to post them here, pm them or email me.

More Progress from Luke G on the Chainmail

Luke says,
"The first two pictures are of the "wyrms" that I make out of the wire and then the rings that are cut from the wyrms which are used to make the chainmaille.

Just though I should also mention that it's about 170 rings per foot of wyrm, which means the pic of the wyrms was approximately 500 rings if I did my math right (and accounted for the wyrms not being 100% perfect). That's about 1/30th of the rings needed for the hauberk. Need to crack the whip on myself! :)
-Luke"

Latest Update on the Chainmail
Here is a better representation of what the weave will look like (shown "open", which is how the front and back will look). That's about half of one under-arm section, measuring approximately 21"x5". Each side section will be about 21"x10" and will hang "closed", allowing for a good fit for many people. I stand only 5' 7" tall, and this reaches about 3/4 down my thigh. It should cover at least half a tall persons' upper leg unless they have a really long torso. Of course, this does come with my Lifetime Guarantee for sizing. I'll even do the first sizing just for shipping it to me, since I understand people may be hesitant about a pre-made shirt.

Editorial Reviews

Product Description

Expedition to the Barrier Peaks is a 1980 adventure module for the Dungeons & Dragons roleplaying game and was written by Gary Gygax. While Dungeons & Dragons (D&D) is typically a fantasy game, the adventure includes elements of science fiction and thus belongs to the science fantasy genre. It takes place on a downed spaceship; the ship's crew has died of an unspecified disease, but functioning robots and strange creatures still inhabit the ship. The player characters fight monsters and robots, and gather the futuristic weapons and colored access cards that are necessary for advancing the story. Expedition to the Barrier Peaks was first played at the Origins II convention in 1976. In 1980, TSR updated the adventure for first edition Advanced Dungeons & Dragons rules and published it. The adventure is an old-time favorite of many Dungeons & Dragons fans. It was ranked the fifth-best Dungeons & Dragons adventure of all time by Dungeon magazine in 2004, and received positive reviews from White Dwarf and The Space Gamer magazines. Expedition to the Barrier Peaks comes with a booklet of 63 numbered illustrations, depicting the various monsters, high tech devices, and situations encountered in the adventure. Typical of TSR AD&D modules, the inside of the cover doubles as a map, and this item also included a second interior cover insert that was a double-sided map for a total of six map sections (portraying the ship levels I through VI). Link Building by Jame Trotta (Internet Site)

Just to be sure there is no misunderstanding - depending on the winner's site, links may be placed on my own websites. So we're not looking at $500 out of my pocket in the case of a travel site for example.

Anyhow, I want to donate this:

$500 worth of links

James Trotta has been developing websites since 2003. He is the Alliance link builder and several of our chapters rank #1 in Google and Yahoo (Google NJ larp or Ohio larp for example). He was also the Faireplay.org link builder. That site went from zero pages indexed by Google to #1 for targeted keywords in both Yahoo and Google (Google larp campground for example). James is no longer working on faireplay.org because they have more business than they can handle.

Disclaimers: James does not guarantee search engine rankings. Success will depend on the strength of your competition. He specializes in travel and education but for the purposes of this auction will take on sites in most niches (but not casino / gambling, adult / porn, racist / hate, or online pharmacies). He does not help people sell their dirty underwear.

The winner of this auction should contact James via email - jtrotta@gmail.com - in order to discuss the website and the keywords being targeted. After this discussion, James will work alone (you will have no further input) to find long-term inks for your website. Expect the link building to take 3-6 months.

Chainmail suits to order by Luke G

Luke is making chainmail armor for the auction. Here is his hand after just day one.

This is what Luke had to say,
"Here are pics from my construction efforts...one is my dirty hand (you
can post this one or not, it makes no difference to me...and most of
this dirtiness will be gone from the maille by the time the final
product is shipped out) after the first night of messing with the wire
and wyrming (winding the wire around a metal rod to form "springs"
which are then cut apart into individual rings), the next is the first
"fivelet", and finally a small section of weave that I've started.

The whole thing looks pretty lightweight, but it really is 14ga AWG,
5/8" rings which meets the minimum requirements for 3-point armor.
Once I finish cutting some more rings (to make a slightly more
impressive picture), I'll snap a shot of the bucket that I have them
in, too."

As you can see progress is going very well on this item, but it will likely not be ready at the actual auction. So Luke will size it and mail it to the winner with an ingame tag of the appropriate amount.

Chainmail Bracelets

These can be made my Mike Stabley in many different colors. If there is an interest, let me know and I can get you connected to Mike or have him make some for the auction. These particular bracelets are the House of Game colors, but he can do many different combinations. These bracelets sell for $15 each
